Top Floor

Welcome to The Top Floor at Stratford

A Martha O'Bryan Academic Student Union

The Top Floor at Stratford is a place for all students to spend their after-school hours in an environment that encourages success throughout high school. The Top Floor is more than an after-school program. It is a safe, inclusive space where students can meet their needs and explore their interests.

Students who take part in The Top Floor receive an extra 1-4 hours of academic reinforcement Monday-Friday. This is a 15-60% extension to the school day. Students are able to choose between Homework Help, Subject Specific Tutoring, and ACT Prep.

College Prep

The Top Floor has partnered with Stratford to assist students with college exploration, applications, essays, scholarships, college seminars, and financial aid. The Top Floor will pay for one college application for all Top Floor Senior participants.

Enrichment activities provide the bridge between the activities students want to take part in and the skills sets students need to learn. Enrichment activities include Anime Club, Music Recording Studio, small-group and one-on-one counseling, Art, Digital Citizenship, Oasis Bike Workshop, Yoga and much, much more.

Work Readiness

Students may choose to take part in multiple job readiness seminars including financial literacy, job application assistance, and interviewing 101. These are also offered through a partnership with the International Youth Foundation's Passport to Success program. This program is facilitated through Freshman Seminar and English IV courses.
